Core Elements Use Cases

The Core Elements provide powerful building blocks that can be combined in creative ways to automate business processes and enhance the rep experience. This guide explores example use cases to help you brainstorm ways to leverage these common elements for your unique business goals.

Sales Training Droplet

Imagine you want to create a Sales Training Droplet that reminds reps to follow up at key inflection points in a new rep's journey. Here's how you could orchestrate multiple Core Elements:

Workflow

  1. Listen for Webhooks - Have the Droplet listen to webhooks for when a new rep is created in Fluid

  2. Create a Task for the Sponsor - Create a Task (To Do) for the sponsor rep to reach out to the new rep 10 days after their first order to make sure they liked the product

  3. Create a Task for the Sponsor's Sponsor - Put a Task on the sponsor's sponsor to congratulate the rep on growing their business

  4. Create a Catch Up for the New Rep - Create a Catch Up card for the brand new rep to post their first shareable to social media on day one

  5. Add a Note to the Sponsor's CRM - Add a Note to the sponsor's CRM with the order information for that Contact's enrollment order so they never forget why they joined the company

  6. Add a Calendar Event - Add a calendar Event to the sponsor's calendar for the new rep's birthday so they can remember to wish them a happy birthday

  7. Send an Activity Notification - Follow up with an Activity (push notification) to the new enrollee letting them know the Company is excited to have them on the team

  8. Create a Curated Playlist - For extra personalization, create a Playlist with recommended products for the new customer based on their order details, then notify the sponsor rep about this curated Playlist with a linked Activity

Diamond Trip Incentive Droplet

Create a Droplet that motivates reps who are close to qualifying for incentive trips by adding timely reminders and encouragement.

Workflow

  1. Monitor Rank Progress - Track reps who are approaching a qualifying rank (e.g., Diamond)

  2. Add Calendar Events - When a rep is close to Diamond and there's a Diamond incentive trip coming up in June, add an Event to their calendar with a note saying "We hope to see you on the cruise!"

  3. Send Encouraging Messages - Use the Messaging center to send positive messages to reps as they achieve milestones toward the new rank

Commission Notification Droplet

Build a Droplet that runs after each commission period to celebrate achievements and help sponsors support their teams.

Workflow

  1. Analyze Commission Results - After a commission period closes, analyze the results for notable achievements and trends

  2. Celebrate Personal Bests - Create a new Activity for reps who achieve a personal best on a commission period, celebrating their achievement

  3. Support Struggling Downlines - Create a Catch Up card for sponsors who have a downline member that is slipping in pay, with suggestions of what they can do to help create new sales

Build Your Own

These examples demonstrate how Core Elements can be combined to create sophisticated automation workflows in a fraction of the time it would take to build from scratch.

Just like the core apps on an iPhone—Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Contacts—Fluid's Core Elements are reliable, battle-tested tools that every user already knows how to use. You don't need to build a calendar system, a task manager, or a CRM from the ground up. Instead, you can focus entirely on your unique business logic and let the Core Elements handle the rest.

This means new business flows can be created in days, not months. A Droplet developer can wire together Tasks, Events, Catch Ups, Notes, and Activities to create powerful workflows without reinventing common functionality.

Consider your business goals and think about:

  • What triggers should initiate actions? (webhooks, scheduled jobs, rank changes, order events)
  • Who needs to be notified or reminded? (new reps, sponsors, upline leaders)
  • What context should be preserved? (notes, order details, milestones)
  • What actions should users take? (catch ups, tasks, calendar events)

By combining these elements creatively, you can build Droplets that provide a personalized, proactive experience for every rep in your organization—and ship faster than ever before.
